YCP MLA Kolusu Parthasaradhi : Former minister and Penamalur Vaikapa MLA Kolusu Parthasaradhi will join TDP. Will have a meeting with Chandrababu on Friday. Jagan suggested that in the next election Parthasaradhi should contest from Nujiveedu or Machilipatnam Lok Sabha seat instead of Penumalur. But he decided to join the TDP as he was unhappy that he did not respect the senior. CM Jagan, realizing Parthasaradhi’s dissatisfaction, summoned him and spoke to him and assured him that he would not leave the party and that he would be given a suitable position. But he decided to change the party.
Parthasarathi recently vented his displeasure in front of everyone during YCP’s Sadhikara Bus Yatra. Even though Jagan does not recognize him, the people of Penamalur have always supported him. His comments sparked speculation. The campaign started that he was going to leave the party. Parthasarathy met TDP leaders at his office in Vijayawada on Tuesday night. Visakha East MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna and Mylavaram TDE leader Bommasani Subbarao came and discussed with Sarathi. Sarathi was invited to the Telugu Desam Party and he seems to have responded positively. On 18th of this month, TDP chief Chandrababu Chandrababu’s ‘Ra.. Kadali Ra’ public meeting will be held in Gudivada, Krishna district. It seems that the time has been decided for Parthasarathy to join TDP on that platform.
Along with Parthasaradhi, MLAs Kayle Anil Kumar and Raksha Nidhi are also unhappy with YCP. Whether they will also switch parties along with Parthasaradhi is yet to be clarified. There were calls for them to come to the CMO without changing the party. But the MLA defense fund seems to have said that it is not coming.
Parthasarathy won three times as MLA. In 2004, he contested as a Congress candidate from Uyyur constituency and won. He served as Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Fisheries and Veterinary University in YS Rajasekhar Reddy Cabinet. After the reorganization of constituencies, he contested from Penamalur constituency in the 2009 elections and entered the Assembly for the second time. N. Worked as Education Minister in Kiran Kumar Reddy’s cabinet. Parthasarathy, who was defeated in 2014…contested from Penamalur as a YCP candidate in 2019…won with a majority of more than 10,000 votes over TDP candidate Bode Prasad.
