Leopard Roaming in Srisailam: The movement of wild animals in the famous shrines of the state is creating a stir. Devotees are worried about cheetah movement. Recently, a cheetah has once again made a ruckus in Srisailam of Nandyala district. On Saturday night, local people spotted the movement of a tiger at Ratnananda Swami Ashram Homagundam. Homa Gundam wandered on the wall for about an hour. Due to this, locals and devotees were panicked. After a while the leopard went into the forest. The pilgrims captured this scene on their cell phones. These photos are going viral on social media. However, there are criticisms that the forest authorities are not paying attention to the matter. Meanwhile, a leopard was spotted near Rudra Park on the Outer Ring Road less than 3 months ago.
In Tirumala
Besides, the movement of wild animals in Tirumala has recently created a stir. Two wild animals were spotted near the Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy Temple on the Alipiri footpath. A cheetah and a bear were caught by the trap cameras set up to detect the movements of wild animals. The TTD officials were alerted and formed a special team in the area where the wild animals roamed. After examining the area where the cheetah roamed, the forest department staff is preparing to set up more trap cameras. Recently, the movement of cheetahs on the footpath and ghat road has reduced, while the officials of TTD and forest department are breathing a sigh of relief, they are again shocked by the movement of cheetahs and bears. And even the devotees of Srivari are afraid of the leopard.
Twice in the same month
TTD is disturbed by the movement of leopards on Alipiri trail, Srivari Mettu path and Ghat roads. Even before the incident of a cheetah attacking and injuring a boy near Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple on the footpath in the history of TTD, the girl was attacked and killed. Due to this, the devotees of Srivari were afraid to go to Tirumala by footpath. In order to ensure the safety of the devotees, Thithide imposed restrictions on the footpath. Steps have been taken to allow parents of young children till 2 pm. Devotees were given crutches. A high alert zone has been declared from the seventh milestone to Galigopuram. TTD sent hundreds of devotees to Tirumala in groups. Forest department officials have installed trap cameras in the cheetah migration areas and so far 6 cheetahs have been captured. But they are continuously observing the tracks of leopards through trap cameras on the trail. And while it seems that the wild animals on the trail are missing, once again the movement of leopard and bear is causing panic.
