Narayanapet, December 25: A fatal road accident took place in Narayanapet district on Sunday evening. Two cars collided head on. Five people died on the spot in this incident. Two others were seriously injured. According to the police, Rehman Begum (40) from Saidapur village of Karnataka state has been suffering from asthma for some time. Her family members brought her to Sankalamaddi in Moosapet mandal of Mahbubnagar district for treatment. After receiving treatment, husband Maulali (40), Khalil (43) and another person left in the car along with Vadiwal on the return journey. On the other hand, Deepak Samal, a Navy employee working in Karwal, Karnataka, along with his wife Bhavita Samal (35) and daughter Avismita Samal (8) were going to Hyderabad by car. Recently Deepak Samal has been transferred to Visakhapatnam and it is reported that he left for Hyderabad to go there.
Two speeding cars collided head-on at a dhaba near Jaklere village in Maktal Mandal. Two cars were crushed in this accident. Rehman Begum, Maulali, Khalil, Bhavita Samal and Avismita Samal died on the spot. Vadiwal and Deepak Samal were seriously injured. After receiving information about the road accident, the police reached the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital. Deepak Samal’s condition worsened and he was taken to Mahabubnagar in 108. The dead bodies were shifted to Maktal Government Hospital.
CI Ramlal said that a case has been registered and investigation has been started. The police said that despite the facility of balloons in the cars involved in the accident, they did not open in time and the severity of the accident increased. Locals say that due to lack of divider on the road, accidents often occur.
