R Narayana Murthy Comments: People Star R Narayana Murthy asked the rulers to follow the example of Ram. On Tuesday (December 19) evening, he attended the drama festival being held in Toleru village of Veeravasaram mandal as the chief guest. He spoke in the press meet held on this occasion. He expressed his concern that today’s Prime Minister came to Andhra Pradesh during the election campaign and promised special status to Andhra Pradesh in Tirumala Tirupati and did not fulfill it. He recalled the events that BJP leaders Venkaiah Naidu, Sushma Swaraj and others had said in the Parliament that special status should be given to Andhra Pradesh for 10 years.
Besides giving special status to Andhra Pradesh, he also demanded that Vizag Steel Plant, a public sector enterprise built with the sacrifices of 32 Telugu people, should be run in the public sector. Not only the steel factories located in other parts of Chattisgarh should be protected, but also the historic Visakha Steel Plant should be protected. He said that the central government is not allocating iron ore mines to Visakha Steel and the steel plant is incurring losses in between. He said that the development of Visakhapatnam and AP’s proud steel plant is the self-respect of the Telugu people. Visakhapatnam is also in India.
He demanded that the government has already handed over the Gangavaram port, which is a part of the steel plant, to the Adani company, and at least efforts should be made to save the Visakhapatnam steel plant.
Narayana Murthy said that the recent entry of youths into Parliament and releasing smoke was a security failure. He said that everyone was worried. But they are saying that they have come to protest in the parliament regarding unemployment, anti-people laws and failures of the central government. Other than that, everyone knows how bad and damaging it would be if they attack the members of parliament. He said that the Central Government has failed to provide security to the Parliament. Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah should be responsible for that. He wants to answer the questions asked by the opposition parties. They want to say what action was taken against the BJP MP who gave passes.
He reminded that recently there were allegations against a Trinamool Congress MP and she was suspended from Parliament. Now they want to say what action will be taken in such a terrible incident. He said that staying silent in a democracy and trying to avoid responsibilities will damage the democracy. He said that there is democracy in the question itself. He said that Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt had thrown a smoke bomb in the National Assembly against the anti-democratic laws to bring freedom to the country during the British rule. He says that the people are the producers of his films and the driving force. He informed that he is making a movie called ‘Unemployment.. Paper Leak’.
