Heinrich Klaasen (6), David Miller (2), Keshav Maharaj (4) scored runs, while Reeza Hendricks, Vander Dussen, Vian Mulder returned as ducks. At one stage, South Africa lost six wickets for 52 runs and looked to be bowled out under 80. But Feluquayo played aggressively and South Africa’s score crossed one hundred runs. And Sai Sudarshan, who made his debut for India, scored an unbeaten 55 runs with nine boundaries in a 43-ball innings. Shreyas Iyer scored 52 runs off 45 balls, providing good support to Sai Sudarshan. Iyer’s innings also had six fours and a six. Another opener Ruthuraj Gaikwad was dismissed for five runs while Tilak Verma remained not out for one run. Among the South African bowlers, Vian Mulder and Andile Phehlukwayo took a wicket each.
Arsh Deep Singh won with five wickets.
Scalping a 5⃣-wicket haul, Arshdeep Singh was on a roll with the ball & bagged the Player of the Match award as #TeamIndia won the first #SAvIND ODI. 👏 👏
