Nandyala, December 10: Devotees flocked to Srisailam Mallanna temple as Kartikamasam of Nandyala district Srisailam ends tomorrow. Srisailam being the last Monday of Kartika month, the crowd of devotees increased. Due to this, there was a heavy traffic with ghat road vehicles from Srisailam toll gate to Mukhadwaram. Cars and buses were stuck on the roads on a large scale, causing traffic for about 8 kilometers. As Kartik month ends tomorrow Monday, devotees are flocking to the Kshetra in their own vehicles from both the Telugu states and also from different states of the country.
But on the other hand, keeping in mind the crowd of devotees, the temple’s Evo Peddiraja has completely canceled the abhishekams for Sri Swami’s touch visitation on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. In order to provide darshan of Sri Swami to all the devotees, only decorative darshan is being given to all. With this, devotees are coming in large numbers in their own cars. The entire Srisailam Ghat Road is a single road, causing serious problems for the vehicles coming and going. Due to heavy traffic jam from Srisailam to Mukha Dwaram, devotees are facing severe difficulties.
It takes about 3 hours from Mukhadwara to Srisailam. However, to clear the traffic jam, the Devasthanam security and the police were busy controlling the traffic with special teams. On the other hand, it takes about five hours to visit Srisailam Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy’s mother, the officials said.
