While the prices of essential commodities are on the rise, on the other hand the prices of vegetables are dropping. At a time like this, the prices of chicken are coming down.. non-veg lovers are happy. Generally, when prices drop, chicken shops are flooded with customers. But now the people of the city are not looking towards the chicken shops with the effect of Kartika month. Chicken sales decreased due to Kartikam effect. Due to this, the prices of chicken have also come down, traders say.
Many people do not touch meat during the month of Kartik, which is a favorite of Lord Shiva. Others wear garlands of Swami. There are many people who are fasting with rituals, vows and vows. That is why the effect of Kartika month is seen on chicken sales. Since the beginning of the month of Kartika, chicken sales have been cut off not only on week days but also on weekends. Due to this, the price of chicken is also decreasing for a week.
Vegetable prices are increasing due to weather conditions on one hand and high demand on the other hand. Prices are falling as the demand for chicken decreases. But, currently the price of live bird has fallen from 100 to 120 rupees per kg and that of domestic chicken has fallen to 400 rupees per kg. Dressed chicken costs Rs 160 to Rs 170 per kg, skinless Rs 180 to Rs 200 and boneless Rs 340 to Rs 360 per kg. Along with rates, demand has also come down.
Traders say that chicken sales have fallen due to the month of Kartika..Earlier there was full demand in weekends. But now at least 50 kg is not being sold. Before the month of Kartika, 100 kg of chicken was sold every day and 500 kg on weekends, but now we cannot sell at least 100 kg for the whole month and some traders say. But not just chicken rates.
