CM Jagan Review on Flood Areas: Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy directed the officials to provide the same assistance to the flood victims as they would expect if we were in the place of the flood victims. Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy spoke to the Collectors of the cyclone-affected districts in AP through a video conference. On this occasion, Jagan gave key instructions to the officials on the damage caused by the storm, rehabilitation measures, damage estimates etc.
The storm has now weakened and turned into a low pressure. The storm caused heavy rains. All the authorities should focus on bringing normal conditions in your areas. Be sympathetic to the victims. If we are in the place of the victims..what kind of help would we expect..that kind of help should be given to them. It doesn’t matter if Rs.10 is more, they should get good help. It should be said that even in such a difficult situation, they are well taken care of. Be sympathetic to providing compensation. They should be given the assistance that is given to people returning from camps but not in the case of damaged houses. There should not be any error in distribution of ration.
Focus should be on complete removal of flood water in crop fields. Put all human resources on it. Focus should be on this now. The government stands by the farmers. They need not be discouraged. It supports every farmer. Crop protection, purchase of stained grain and discolored grain are closely related.
Electricity should be restored on war footing. Take immediate steps to restore transport in affected areas. Take this as a priority too. Focus on sanitation to prevent the spread of diseases in areas with reduced rainfall. All officers are working well. The government will also support the family of the constable who fell down a tree. We will provide assistance of Rs.30 lakh to that family. The government stands by to ensure that the morale of the employees in the performance of duty is maintained. From volunteers to high-level employees, this government stands by. CM Jagan suggested that the government will take steps to maintain their morale.
