Janasena Chief: The YS Jagan government has filed a criminal case against Janasena leader Pawan Kalyan. The government has accused Pawan Kalyan of speaking inappropriately at the meeting held last year against the volunteers who claim to be his soul children. A criminal case has been filed in the Guntur court alleging that she made inappropriate comments to humiliate the volunteers and hurt their morale and tarnished the reputation of the government. It was taken up by the District High Court. A criminal case has been registered against Pawan under Sections 499 and 500 of the IPC and transferred to the Fourth Additional District Court. To this extent, the judge of the fourth additional district court, Sarath Babu, has given notice to Pawan Kalyan to attend the trial on March 25.
What is the point?
Last year on July 9, Pawan Kalyan conducted Varahi Yatra in Eluru. Speaking on this occasion, he alleged that around 29,000 to 30,000 girls have disappeared in the state. He said that he got the information through the Central Intelligence Agency. The police said that 14,000 of the women who had disappeared in the state had returned, and why the Chief Minister was not questioning the rest. He also criticized the DGP for not reviewing the disappearance of women.
Because of the volunteers..
Pawan Kalyan alleged that the role of volunteers was behind the disappearance of the woman in the state. It is alleged that the volunteers collected the information of each family member and identified single women and handed them over to some anti-social forces and abducted them. At that time, Pawan revealed that the Central Intelligence Agency had told him that some elders in the YCP government were involved. His comments were prominently published by newspapers and broadcast media. The government responded by filing a case against Pawan on the basis of the news and articles in them.
The government has stated in the complaint that volunteers are working crucially in the implementation of government schemes and Pawan’s comments are aimed at damaging their morale. Pawan has complained in the court that action should be taken against him for talking mudslinging against the government. Before that, on July 20, the government ordered action against Pawan on July 20. The public prosecutor has stated in his complaint that he is filing a case against Pawan based on the testimony given by volunteer B. Pawan Kumar and some others from Kantheru of Tadikonda mandal.
