The CM ordered to purchase electricity from those companies where electricity is available at low price in the open market. He said that various difficulties and problems are arising due to the non-formulation of a proper electricity policy till now. Revanth Reddy ordered to study the electricity policies implemented in various states, study the electricity conditions in those states, which state has the better policy and give reports. CM Revanth Reddy said that in order to implement a better electricity policy in Telangana than all other states, we will discuss with the experts and discuss at length with the public representatives of all political parties in the Assembly and bring a new electricity policy.
According to the promise given to the people of Telangana, it was made clear that the farmers in the state should be given 24 hours free electricity. CM Revanth Reddy ordered to prepare plans to provide free electricity to the house up to 200 units through Grihajyoti scheme which is one of the six guarantees. In order to increase the production of electricity in terms of the government, the possibilities of setting up more power companies and the authorities were directed to speed up the works already under construction. It is suggested to prevent misuse of electricity and increase the quality. CM Revanth Reddy ordered to take strong and proactive measures to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity.
