Villagers Construct a Temple For a Priest in Jangaon: We usually see temples built for gods in any village. We have also seen some people erecting idols of their favorite political leaders. However, the villagers together built a temple for the priest who worships in the temple. They expressed their admiration for the priest, who served as regular priests and Ayurvedic doctors, saying that he could not repay his debt. The villagers of Tatikonda of Janagaon district started the construction of this temple.
In public service
Soumitri Sri Rangacharyulu (Rangacharyulu) of Tatikonda village of Janagama district used to perform priesthood in that village and surrounding villages. He has served the villagers for more than 50 years as a regular priest in the Sri Sita Ramanjaneya Swamy temple and as an Ayurvedic doctor in the village. Everyone was treated without any discrimination. He used to greet everyone in a friendly manner and help him in any way he could. The villagers were known as Ayurvedic doctors and provided medical assistance. However, Rangacharya passed away a year ago. However, unable to forget his memories, the villagers decided to erect a statue and build a temple for Rangacharya. The same was told to the family members and they happily agreed.
Arrangement with Rs.4 lakhs
As expected, a temple was built for Sri Rangacharya in the place next to the ancient Sitarama Anjaneya Devasthanam in the village and his idol was installed in it. The statue was recently installed after the construction was undertaken at a cost of around Rs.4 lakhs. His son Ramacharyulu said that his father treated everyone with friendliness and provided medical services. The villagers said that they felt happy when they started the construction of the temple. It is said that this construction was completed with the cooperation of all. Meanwhile, his grandson Arunachari is continuing his grandfather’s priesthood and priesthood in the village. He continues to be the priest of Sitaram Sitaramanjaneya Swamy temple in the village as well as the priest of Sri Rangacharya temple.
However, the villagers praised Rangacharya’s guru as a very noble person who selflessly provided medical services to everyone. It is remembered that he treated everyone with great love and would help anyone who needed any help. It is said that the temple was built out of admiration for him.
