Tsrtc Special Service for Ayyappa Devotees: TSRTC has given good news to Ayyappa devotees. RTC has released a statement that special bus service has been arranged for the devotees going to Sabarimala from Hyderabad to visit Ayyappa. It said that this service will start from 5th of this month (Friday).. Ayyappa devotees can go without any worry. It has been revealed that this decision has been taken in the wake of recent difficulties faced by Ayyappa devotees. RTC officials have revealed the time and ticket prices in this regard. He said that the fare for a passenger to go from Hyderabad to Sabarimala is Rs.13,600. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will also be provided as part of this package. It was explained that the ‘Lahari’ bus will depart from MGBS on 5th of this month.
This is the trip schedule
- The bus will depart from MGBS on the first day (Friday) at 3 PM.
- Reach Kanipakam at 7:30 pm on 2nd day. After having the darshan of Lord Ganesha there, it will leave again at 10:30 pm on the same day.
- Reach Guruvayur at 6:30 am on the 3rd day. After visiting there, it will leave at 12:30 PM.
- Reach Erumeli at 11:20 pm on the 4th day. From there they will start at 8:10 am. Reach Pamba by 9:20 hrs. Return departs at 01:30 PM.
- Reach Thiruvananthapuram at 5:20 am on the 5th day and start back at 9:20 am. It will reach Madurai at 5:30 PM on the same day and return at 11:20 PM.
- On the 6th day it will reach Arunachalam at 7:30 am and depart from there at 3:30 am. It will reach Kanchi at 6:10 pm on the same day and depart from Akakdi at 2:10 am the next day.
- Reach Mahanandi at 11:10 am on the 7th day. RTC officials revealed that the bus will leave from there at 11:30 pm and reach MGBS directly.

Special buses for Sankranti
On the other hand, TSRTC has prepared plans to run 4,484 special buses from Hyderabad on the occasion of Sankranti festival. RTC officials said that from 6th to 15th of this month, special buses will be run from Hyderabad to all districts of the state as well as neighboring states like AP, Karnataka and Maharashtra. He said that 626 buses have been made available for advance reservation. It is stated that 1,450 special buses will be run from Bhagyanagar to AP due to traffic. RTC MD VC Sajjanar clarified that there will be free travel for women in special buses as well.
Rented buses are the norm
Besides, the negotiations of the RTC management with the owners of the rented buses have also been successful. Company MD VC Sajjanar held a meeting with the rental bus owners on Thursday after they announced that they would go on strike from Friday if their issues were not resolved. In this meeting, Sajjanar heard the problems of the rental bus owners and promised to solve them within a week. He said that a committee will be formed for this. Sajjanar said that the complete details will be revealed in 2-3 days. Meanwhile, the owners of the rented buses said that 5 major issues have been brought to the notice of RTC MD Sajjanar. He said that the MD has promised to solve the problems by the 10th of this month. With this, it was announced that the strike started from Friday will be called off.
