Telangana CM Revanth Reddy meets Amit Shah: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s visit to Delhi continues. On this occasion, Revanth Reddy discussed issues related to the state with several Union Ministers. The CM, who met Union Home Minister Amit Shah, requested to increase the allocation of IPS officers to the state. Before that, Union Water Power Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat along with CM, Water Drainage Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy and CS Shanti Kumari met. A petition was handed over to the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy project for national status.
The Chief Minister requested the Union Minister to allocate 29 additional IPS posts to the state for division of districts and supervision of various departments. Union Minister Amit Shah responded positively to the Chief Minister’s appeal. He promised to allocate additional officers to Telangana from the new IPS batch in 2024. Union Home Minister Amit Shah Revanth Reddy met Union Home Minister Revanth Reddy for the first time after assuming charge as Chief Minister at his office in North Block, Delhi on Thursday evening. On this occasion, the Chief Minister brought to the attention of Amit Shah many aspects of the state. Andhra Pradesh claims to complete the bifurcation of the institutions mentioned in the Ninth Schedule of the State Redistricting Act, to settle the dispute of the institutions within the ambit of the Tenth Schedule, to smoothly complete the bifurcation of the common Rashtra Bhavan in New Delhi, and to the institutions not mentioned anywhere in the Act. The Chief Minister has appealed to the Union Home Minister to focus on the issue. The Chief Minister asked the Union Home Minister to allocate Rs.88 crore for strengthening the Anti-Narcotics Bureau in Telangana and Rs.90 crore for strengthening the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau. The Chief Minister asked the Union Home Minister to pay a total of Rs.408 crore from the state along with interest as Andhra Pradesh used the buildings like Raj Bhavan, High Court Building, Lokayukta and SHRC in Hyderabad even after the bifurcation of the state.
Accept revised proposals for Hyderabad Metro Phase II
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appealed to Union Urban Development and Housing Minister Hardeep Singh Puri to approve the revised proposals for the second phase of Hyderabad Metro. The Chief Minister met the Union Minister on Thursday evening and brought to his attention many problems related to the state. Hyderabad Metro Second Dasha (BHEL-Lakdikapul, Nagol-LB Nagar, 26 km, Rs 9,100 crore), (Airport Metro Corridor-Rayadurga He said that it needs to be corrected. According to the revised proposals, the Chief Minister asked the Union Minister to consider the matter of taking up this project jointly by the Central and State Governments. The Union Minister explained to the Chief Minister that it has been decided to develop the Musi river front in Hyderabad in all ways and to make it multi-purpose with amusement parks, water falls, children’s water sports, business area and shopping complexes. The Chief Minister asked the Union Minister Puri to give necessary support to the Central Government for this. The Chief Minister said that the state government has decided to build Indiramma houses for the poor in the state and asked the Union Minister to give permission to provide them under the Prime Minister’s Awas Yojana. The Chief Minister appealed to the Union Minister to release the balance funds to be given along with granting houses to Telangana.
Give national project status to Palamuru-Ranga Reddy
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has appealed to Water Power Minister Gajendra Singh Shekawat to give national project status to the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy project. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and State Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy met Water Power Minister Shekawat on Thursday evening. On this occasion, the Chief Minister and Minister of Water and Drainage explained the importance of the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy project to the Union Minister. He said that 12.30 lakh acres in the districts of Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar, Vikarabad, Narayanapet, Rangareddy and Nalgonda, which are suffering from drought and fluoride, should be given irrigation water from Palamuru-Rangareddy uplifts. From this project, drinking water has to be supplied to 1226 villages in six districts as well as Hyderabad city. Although many permissions have already been taken regarding the project, hydrology, irrigation planning, estimated cost, BC ratio and inter-state aspects are still under consideration by the Central Water Board, and they are requested to give their approval immediately. In view of the importance of the project, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Water Drainage Minister Uttamkumar Reddy asked the Minister of Water Power to give national status to the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy risers.

State Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy said that Water Power Minister Gajendra Singh Shekawat has responded positively to the allocation of additional funds for the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy risers. After meeting the Minister of Water Power, he spoke to reporters in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. They told the Minister of Water Power that they should accord the status of national project to Palamuru-Ranga Reddy. The Minister of Water Power said that after 2014, the Central Government has not given national status to any project and this policy is not in force at present. But in view of the priority of the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy project, Uttamkumar Reddy said that the Minister of Water Power has promised to allocate 60 percent of the funds for that project under another scheme under his department.
