Amaravati, January 2: It is known that last year (2022-23) the government has provided ‘re-admission’ opportunity to the students who failed in class 10th and intermediate. A large number of students availed this opportunity. About 1,93,251 people got re-admissions in the respective classes. They will be given all the opportunities at par with the regular students admitted in this academic year. As part of the achievement of 100 percent Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) in the state of Andhra Pradesh, the students who missed class 10 and inter have been given an opportunity to re-admit in the same classes.
The respective students were re-enrolled by the village volunteers. As a result, 1,03,000 out of 1,23,680 students who missed class 10 in the academic year 2022-23 have been re-admitted. 90,251 people have availed this facility in Inter. Usually, those who failed the exam would retake the supplementary exams on payment of fees. The board considers them as ‘private’ students. But if they take re-admission, they will be considered as regular students. But they have to read all the subjects including the failed subjects. All the papers in the public examinations have to be written. However, while allocating marks, the marks obtained in the previous academic year and the marks in the current academic year are examined.
And the certificates issued by the board will provide them with ‘regular certificate’ without any private or compartmental or star mark. All schemes like Jagananna Vidyakanuka and Amma Odi are applicable to them. Thus, those who have failed in class 10th and intermediate have only one year of re-admission and get all regular government schemes. If these students fail for the second time, they will not have another chance. Exams have to be written privately. As many as 1,93,251 students who have failed in Intermediate and Class X last year and have been re-admitted to regular status will take the exams next March.
