Sarkar Naukari
Drama, message
Director: Ganganamoni Shekhar
Artist: Akash Goparaju, Bhavna Valapandal, Madhu Latha, Tanikella Bharani, Sameta Gandhi, Manichandana etc.
Sarkaaru Noukari Review: Famous singer Sunitha’s son Akash Goparaju was introduced as the hero in the movie ‘Sarkaru Naukri’. Director K. Raghavendra Rao being the producer and the promotional films released as ‘Pedda Rogam Chinna Upayam’ increased interest in the film. How is this film based on AIDS / HIV?
Story: Gopal (Akash Goparaju) is an orphan. Parents die when they are young. Since then he grows up alone. He earns Sarkaru Naukari (Government Job) by working hard. In his native Kollapur Mandal, his work is to prevent the spread of a major disease (AIDS/HIV) and create awareness among the people about it. Being a government employee, Satya (Bhavana Valapandal) marries him without asking what his job is. The whole town respects her as the wife of a government official. Satya is happy to see the respect she is getting.
Gopal distributes condoms as part of spreading awareness about the big disease. Knowing that, people… start seeing Gopal and Satya as untouchables. Satya asks her husband to quit his job. A friend also tells him to quit his job. Gopal does not listen to anyone. With that, the wife goes to the birth house. Friend stops talking. All the people of the village are insulted. Why didn’t Gopal quit his job despite all the problems? What did he do to control AIDS? What is his past? You have to watch the movie to know.
Analysis: The beginning and end of every story / movie is very important. Even if the beginning is a bit slow, the end will make the audience feel satisfied. The story and scenes should be interesting to sit till the end in the theater when the end is understood before us. In the absence of such, patience must be tested.
The beginning of ‘Sarkar Naukri’ is interesting. The environment of Kolhapur, the introduction of Akash Goparaju as a village youth, the wedding, the girls playing with condoms which are not aware of them are laughable. From then on, there were twists and turns in the story, and the story did not progress at all interestingly. The ending is predictable. It is not difficult to imagine the hero’s past.
There are heavy emotions in the story of ‘Sarkar Naukari’. But, none of them connect with the audience. How many of this generation’s audience knows how contemporary, AIDS/HIV is the background of Corona? Except seeing it in textbooks and news. The story is set in 1996. Ganganamoni Shekhar was writing, directing and cinematography in the style of cinema during that period. The movie is like a two-hour government ad. It is not wrong to want to shoot close to nature. No need for commercial values, just a minimum of interest. There are no such elements in the film. The comedy track between Tanikella Bharani and Trinath was not really funny.

The song that comes after the marriage of the hero and heroine in the voices given by Sandilya is melodious and visual. The rest of the songs are nothing to write home about. As Raghavendra Rao was the producer, Mahadev, who acted as his style hero’s friend, shot a song on Madhulota, who acted as Maradala. The picturization of that song is not good. Background music by Suresh Bobbili is okay.

Hero Akash Goparaju has no camera fear. Although it is the first movie, he acted well in the emotional scenes. Heroine Bhavna Valapandal acted to match her role. The lip lock scenes of the hero and heroines are part of the story. Also, the director did not use actors like Tanikella Bharani and Sameta Gandhi properly.
Akash Goparaju is not a film that fully unveils the actor. He must do another film for his performance to be known to the audience. Going to ‘Sarkaru Naukari’ means going to watch a two-hour government ad in theaters.
