The Indian Space Research Organization is gearing up for another launch on New Year’s Day. Exposat will launch a satellite for blackhole research. The countdown for this is continuing from Sunday morning.
Exposat satellite will be launched at 9.10 am from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Srihari Kota. Exposat will be sent to Ninggi with PSLV C58. This will take ten more satellites into space.
The countdown started at 8:10 AM on Sunday morning. Before that, ISRO scientists visited Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy and offered special pooja to the launch rocket model.
This is India’s first polarimetry mission…second in the world. It is going to mark the beginning of a new history as the second country after America to do this experiment. Exposat will study pulsars, black hole X-ray binaries, active galactic nuclei and neutron stars.
This satellite will be launched at a distance of 500-700 km. It has two payloads. They provide service for five years. One is Poly X and the other is X-ray spectroscopy timing. First, the X-ray polarimeter. It is made by Raman Research Institute. The second instrument was designed by the Space Astronomy Group.
