Traffic Challan Discount In Telangana: The Telangana Police Department has announced a discount offer to collect pending invoices, just like discounts in shops for Christmas and New Year. With this the pending invoices are being cleared. The income is in crores of rupees. It is reported that 10 crore rupees have already been collected.
Huge discounts
Traffic Police issues challans to those who commit traffic violations. But… the motorists keep those challans pending. The police department has announced a huge discount on pending challans to get all of them. 80 percent discount for two wheelers and three wheelers, 90 percent discount for buses and 60 percent discount for cars and heavy motor vehicles. With the discount given to pending challans, motorists are making challans without delay saying that they have got a chance. They are also splashing the money of the challans that have been kept unpaid for a long time. Due to the huge response from the motorists… it was announced that within two days of the announcement of the discount offer, Rs. 10 crores have been collected.
About ten lakh challans have been cleared
More than 9.80 lakh challans were cleared across the state till 10:30 pm on December 28th night. The highest amount was Rs.2.90 crore for 3.84 lakh challans in Hyderabad Commissionerate, Rs.1.90 crore for 2.2 lakh challans in Cyberabad and Rs.81 lakh for 97 thousand challans in Rachakonda Commissionerate. Servers are also barking due to increased traffic on the challan site. Based on this.. it is understood how much response will be received for making payments of pending challans.
300 crore revenue last year
Last year also a similar offer was announced for the collection of pending invoices. Even then 300 crores of income was accumulated through pending challans. Meanwhile.. this year also around 2 crore challans are pending.. once again discount has been announced on pending challans. This offer started on December 26. The traffic police has provided an opportunity to pay pending challans with a discount till January 10. Why delay… if you have challans… don’t delay.. better time will not be available… hurry up… clear pending challan payments.
But… one word… this offer is announced only on pending challans. That means… this discount is applicable only for invoices paid before 25th December. The traffic police makes it clear that 100 percent of the tolls incurred after that will have to be paid.
