RTC MD Sajjanar Responds on Attack on RTC Employees: It is known that free bus travel is being provided to women in Telangana under ‘Mahalaxmi’ scheme. On this occasion, the company’s MD VC Sajjanar (VC Sajjanar) denied that the passengers attacked the RTC staff at some places. “It is not appropriate to vilify the RTC staff who are playing a vital role in the implementation of the Mahalakshmi scheme. With the commitment of the staff, millions of people reach their destinations every day. An organization survives only because of the efforts of its employees. RTC management will not tolerate such incidents against the staff. RTC officials have already filed a complaint in the respective police stations about this incident. Police also registered FIRs and started investigation. We will take legal action against those responsible.’ Sajjanar said. Everyone has been asked to cooperate with the RTC staff during free travel in buses and ensure that such incidents do not recur.

This happened
On Wednesday afternoon from Kothagudem bus depot to Khammam, the Palle Velang bus reached the post office junction of the town. However, all the passengers who were sitting in the service autos got off at once when the bus arrived. Due to this, the auto drivers got angry and attacked the bus driver Nagaraju. They threw water on him and abused him with vulgar language. The conductor and passengers did not stop. With this, driver Nagaraju and Kothagudem depot manager Banala Venkateswara Rao filed a complaint at Okato Town Police Station. The police have investigated this.
Female conductor Aavanda
Also, in the same Bhadradri Kothagudem district, female passengers misbehaved with a female conductor. The village light bus going from Bhadrachalam to Kothagudem was full of women when it reached Sarapaka. At least there was no place to stand or one had to travel on a foot board. In this order, the conductor is trying to give a zero ticket and suggested to adjust a little. As a result, the female passengers hurled abuse at her. ‘This bus is ours. A driver is enough. We don’t need you.’ They argued. With this, the conductor stopped the bus and lamented. The locals also expressed their grief after knowing her suffering. The behavior of the passengers towards the lady conductor was wrong. Also, a passenger protested by lying across the bus after not finding a seat in the bus in Vemulawada. This caused confusion. The male passengers are demanding that additional buses should be run or else separate seats should be reserved for men in the buses.
