AITUC won against INTUC in Singareni Elections 2023: In Telangana, Singareni Elections, CPI has shown its power in the Singareni Sangh elections. AITUC, an affiliate of that party, won. The rush of one and a half years ended late at night. Now AITUC has emerged as a Singareni identity association. This association won with a huge margin over INTUC.
Elections were held in 11 areas across Singareni and AITUC won in six places, Congress affiliate INTUC won in five places. With this, AITUC was elected as Telangana Singareni Recognition Association.
Who won where?
AITUC won in Mandamarri, Bellampally, Srirampur, Ramagundam 1 and 2 regions. INTUC showed superiority in the third area of Kothagudem, Manuguru, Illendu, Bhupalapalli and Ramagundam. AITUC got more than two thousand votes in Srirampur alone. BRS affiliate TGBKS won this Singareni election in 2012 and 2017. This time the community is away from the elections.
Polling was held from 7 am to 5 pm on Wednesday in 84 polling centers in 11 areas. Then the counting started. Elections were held by secret ballot. While 39 thousand 773 workers had the right to vote… only 37 thousand 447 people exercised their right to vote. 13 trade unions contested and AITUC won. Everyone thought that there would be a competition between the affiliated unions of Congress, CPI and BRS. However, the Telangana Coal Mine Workers’ Union, an affiliate of BRS, unexpectedly dropped out of the competition. CPI got along well with this.
Singareni is spread over six districts. Elections were held in 11 divisions. 94.15 percent polling has been recorded. There are 24 underground and 18 open cast mines in Singareni. Labor union elections are being held since 1998. The term of recognition association is 2 years. The controversy over this continues.
Congress MLAs and Ministers campaigned on behalf of INTUC. At the level of assembly elections, bounties were collected. But Congress won in Khammam area. In the rest of the areas, squatting was done.
