Ex Mla Manchireddy Kishanreddy Case: The police have registered a case against former MLA Manchireddy Kishanreddy (Brs). Municipal Chairperson Sravanthi complained to the Ibrahimpatam police that two and a half crores were taken for the post of Municipal Chairperson during the 2019 elections. In her complaint, the names of Manchireddy’s son Prashanth Reddy, former collector of Rangareddy district Amoy Kumar and former municipal commissioner MD Yusuf have been mentioned in the complaint. Sravanti said that since taking charge as the chairperson, they have been harassed in the name of caste without giving minimum respect in municipal meetings. Manchireddy complained that Kishan Reddy and his son had threatened to take more days off and hand over the responsibilities to the vice chairman. Amoy Kumar, who worked as a collector in 2019, was also insulted as a low caste in the complaint. Ibrahimpatnam police have registered a case under the SC and ST Atrocity Sections.
MLA used to demand 5 lakhs every month
Ibrahimpatnam municipal chair person Kappari Sravathi Chandu who belongs to Budaga Jangalu caste is the municipal chair person. Her paternal uncle Kappari Lakshmaiah worked as Sarpanch of Ibrahimpatnam village. Saravanti said that the then MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy, who came to know about his uncle, came to their house and offered him the post of municipal chairperson. He said that they did not have the money after demanding 3 crores, but his uncle brought 2.5 crore rupees to the financiers. Manchireddy, who said that he will not trouble us for five years, complained that he has caused us many problems since taking charge as the chairperson. Apart from speaking inappropriate words, he used to harass her emotionally and the counselors also complained that they were in collusion with MLA’s son Prashant Reddy. MLA’s son Prashanth Reddy said that councilors, gram panchayat and municipality lands have been seized. Municipal chairperson Sravathi said in the complaint that the MLA used to demand 5 lakhs every month, and when she refused, she caused many problems.
Manchireddy faced ED investigation in casino case
Manchireddy Kishanreddy attended the Enforcement Directorate inquiry in the casino case.
