The police caught the state’s ganja face in Seeleru of Alluri district. 725 kg of ganja worth one and a half crores was seized and the car seized. Two smugglers from Maharashtra were arrested. Sonakishan and Laxman Kale from Maharashtra entered into a deal for ganja with some others in Pasuvulanka area of Orissa. They talked to the traders from Maharashtra and planned to take the load of ganja and move it through Seeleru. Suspicious, Seeleru police started investigations. When the TRC stopped and checked the school vehicle, a bunch of marijuana was found in it. 725 kg of ganja valued at one and a half crores was recovered from the car.
Marijuana grown in AOB was found to be being transported across the Seeleru River. They are moving to other states through Alluri district. The police arrested two people from Maharashtra who seized the ganja. Police identified some other people from Pashuvulanka village of Orissa. Chintapalli ASP Pratap Kishore says that some others who are absconding will be caught with the help of Maharashtra Police. Meanwhile, no matter how many strict measures are being taken by the police in AP, there is no stopping the illegal ganja. Every day they are caught smuggling some kind of ganja.
