In Andhra Pradesh, the government is ready to encourage the youth, especially the sportspersons. As per Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s decision, Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh is making all kinds of arrangements for the sports festival across the state like never before. Officials say that Chief Minister Jagan’s aim is to bring out sportspersons from the rural level in the state and provide them with all kinds of assistance on behalf of the government. That’s why CM Jagan has decided to organize a huge program in the name of Let’s Play Andhra-It’s Everyone’s Game. With the Chief Minister’s orders, games will be held at the village and ward secretariat level, then at the mandal level, and then at the constituency level. The government is making arrangements to provide various levels of cash incentives to the winners. The authorities have already selected the sports venues and stadiums for conducting the competitions for the Audham Andhra programme. Games will be held at different levels from December 26 to February 10. There were huge applications to participate in the competitions. Cricket, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Khokho, Badminton competitions will be conducted by Audham Andhra. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy will formally launch the program in Guntur on Tuesday.
Let’s play for 47 days under the aegis of Govt.
Audham Andhra program will be held from December 26th to February 10th. In relation to five sports, competitions will be held at the village and ward level first. Officials said that 23 lakh crore registrations have been made for Audham Andhra. 34.19 lakh athletes are participating in these sports events. Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton Doubles, Kabaddi and Khokho competitions will be held within the 15 thousand 4 village and ward secretariats in the state. For this, 9,043 sports grounds have been prepared under 14,997 village and ward secretariats. Government schools, college grounds, university grounds, municipal stadiums and district sports complexes have all been made available for conducting these sports. 2.99 lakh matches will be held across the state. Lakh 50 thousand matches will be held within the limits of village and ward secretariats. Here the winners will compete at the mandal level. A total of 42 thousand matches will be held in 680 mandals. Here the winners stand in the ring at the constituency level. 5250 matches will be contested in 175 constituencies. The winners at the constituency level will have to play in 312 matches held in 26 districts at the district level. Finally, the winners who won at the district level will have to compete in 250 matches at the state level. Cricket, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Kho Kho and Badminton sports competitions will be held as part of Audham Andhra program from 26th of this month. It will be held from January 10th to 23rd at the mandal level and from January 24th to 30th at the constituency level. After that, the state level competitions will be held till February 10th.
Incentives for athletes with cash prizes
Cash prizes will be given to the winners of the respective sports competitions at constituency, district and state level. First, second and third prizes will be given in each game. The winners of cricket, kabaddi, khokho and volleyball games will be awarded a first prize of Rs 5 lakhs at the state level, Rs 60,000 at the district level and Rs 35,000 at the constituency level. 3 lakhs at the state level, 30 thousand at the district level, 15 thousand at the constituency level, 2 lakhs at the state level, 10 thousand at the district level and 5 thousand at the constituency level under the third prize. Badminton doubles winners will get a cash prize of 2 lakhs as first prize at the state level, 35 thousand at the district level and 25 thousand at the constituency level. The government will give a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh at the state level, Rs 20 thousand at the district level, Rs 10 thousand at the constituency level, Rs 50 thousand at the state level, Rs 10 thousand at the district level and Rs 5 thousand at the constituency level as the third prize.
