Former Joint Director of CBI Lakshminarayana has almost as much following as powerful political leaders. That’s why from the time he was a CBI officer to today’s politics, whatever he does is sensational. Recently, Jai Bharat National Party was established and created a new wave in AP politics. Vasagiri Lakshminarayana, born on April 3, 1965, in Srisailam, Kurnool district, completed M.Tech in IIT and came towards civils. Appointed as Maharashtra Cadre IPS Officer. Worked as Nanded SP and Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad. After that, Lakshminarayana, who served as the joint director of CBI Hyderabad, came into limelight in the investigation of sensational cases. He has earned the same fame as political celebrities.
Although many cases have been investigated across the country, it is the cases of the home state of AP that have brought Lakshminarayana’s name into disrepute. First the Volkswagen case, then the case of illegal land acquisition in the Outer Ring Road, the investigation of the Satyam scam case… brought him a good name. The OMC case, the investigation of Jagan’s assets case made him more famous. In 2017, Lakshminarayana also received the President’s Police Medal for his distinguished services.
Lakshminarayana, who took voluntary retirement from duty in March 2018, made her political debut a few years ago. He also did a padayatra on behalf of the people in Rayalaseema. However, he joined the Jana Sena before the 2019 elections and contested for the Visakha MP seat and lost. Even after that, Lakshminarayana, who remained in the public, supported the movement against the privatization of the Visakha steel factory.
Lakshminarayana, who had earlier announced that he would stay in the public sector whether he lost or won, now forming a new party is attracting interest among the political circles. And, will his latest entry benefit the ruling party? Will it dash the opposition’s hopes? Who benefits? Whose loss? That has now become a topic of discussion in AP politics.
