Heavy Rush in Tirumala: In Tirumala, there is confusion over Srivari’s sarva darshan. Devotees who come for Sarvadarshan (Sarvadarshan) without tickets are not allowed by Thithi authorities to enter queues. Due to this, the devotees gathered in groups at the ATC intersection and started an argument with the Vigilance staff. 31 compartments were filled with devotees. Devotees are alleging that TTD is preventing them from seeing God who came from far away places. Vaikuntha Ekadashi tickets are not available in Tirupati and devotees are begging to be allowed to see Sarva even on Friday. A huge number of devotees are flocking to Tirumala to celebrate Vaikuntha Ekadashi on Saturday. Already Vaikuntham queue complex – 2, Narayanagiri sheds are full and the queue has reached Narayanagiri guest house. Thinking that this would cause difficulty in darshan of Vaikuntha, the devotees without tokens were denied permission to visit Swami. They said that those who have tickets for tomorrow’s Sarva Darshan will be sent to queues in the evening.
At first like that.. but
On the occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadashi, Tithide authorities had initially announced that Sarva Darshan will be allowed even if there are no tokens on Friday. However, due to the large number of devotees, it has been clarified that only those who have tokens will be allowed for darshan. On the other hand, Thithide started distributing Sarva Darshan tokens through Srivari Vaikuntha. In view of the rush of devotees, the distribution of tokens started at night earlier than the stipulated time. TTD officials have arranged 9 centers in Tirupati for Vaikuntha gate entrances. While it was announced that tokens would be issued from Friday afternoon, the staff could not control the devotees at the queue counters. With this, Vaikuntha Door started issuing Darshan Tokens from midnight on Thursday. Tickets printed in special colors are given to the devotees.
Clash of VIPs
Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan is going to start from 23rd of this month (Saturday) in Tirumala. Thithi authorities have made arrangements for 80 thousand people to visit Srivari for 10 days. TTD, which has released 2.50 lakh special entrance darshan tickets online for 10 days, will issue another 4.20 lakh general darshan tickets in Tirupati. On the occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadashi, the rush of devotees to Tirumala increased tremendously. AP ministers and key officials have already reached Tirumala. Assembly speaker and other dignitaries will come to Tirumala on Friday night. It is reported that seven judges from the Supreme Court and 35 judges from the states of AP, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are coming to Tirumala. Also, five members of the TTD Governing Council have settled in Tirumala. Apart from them, MPs, MLAs and MLCs are queuing up for the darshan of Vaikunthanath. Officials are holding their heads as VIPs are coming in large numbers. It seems that there is increasing pressure on Titide in terms of providing accommodation and visiting facilities to them.
