CM Revanth Reddy Ordered Judicial Inquiry on Yadadri Project: It is known that the government has released a white paper in the assembly regarding the power sector in Telangana. In this order, CM Revanth Reddy has ordered a judicial inquiry into the use of outdated sub-critical technology in the Bhadradri project along with the Yadadri Project and the power agreement with Chattishgarh. During the heated debate between the power and opposition leaders in the Legislative Assembly, former Minister Jagdish Reddy asked the Speaker to conduct an inquiry into the allegations leveled against him by the sitting judge. In this order, CM Revanth and Jagadish Reddy said that they are accepting the challenge.
‘Thousands of crores of corruption’
CM Revanth Reddy alleged that corruption of Rs. They complained that even after 8 years of the Yadadri project, the work has not been completed. ‘The power contract with Chhattisgarh is flawed. The deal was done without tenders. If we fought on that day, we were kicked out of the house with marshals. 1,362 crore burden on the government due to the 1000 mega watt contract. The intentions behind those agreements should come out. The Bhadradri project used outdated sub-critical technology. India Bulls profited from the deals. We are ordering a judicial inquiry into this.’ Revanth Reddy blamed the previous government.
Committee on 24 Hours Electricity
CM Revanth Reddy criticized that the achievements in terms of electricity during the BRS regime were negligible. Mandi said that agreements were made based on the sentiment of the people called agricultural electricity. It was announced that they are setting up a truth verification committee with all parties on 24 hours electricity. At that time, he said that if an officer told the truth about the Chhattisgarh agreement, the status of the employee was reduced and he was sent to remote areas. ‘The government of that day never revealed the facts before the House. We have thoroughly scanned the electricity department and presented the facts to the public. All the facts need to be brought out. A judicial inquiry has been ordered as per the challenge of BRS. Then we will reach those who are ministers. Your intentions will be revealed in the investigation. So far no new project has been built. They are telling lies about 24 hours free electricity. How much longer will they spend in the assembly?’ The CM demurred.
CM Revanth’s Delhi visit cancelled
Also, CM Revanth Reddy’s visit to Delhi was cancelled. While he had to go to Delhi for the CWC meeting, he remained in the Legislative Assembly. As the afternoon flight was missed, the CMO tried for another flight. However, due to the current developments, the CM, who canceled his visit to Delhi, decided to stay in the House.
