Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has won two consecutive terms as MLA from Nellore Rural Constituency. Twice he contested on YCP ticket. He is going to contest for the third time now on TDP ticket. There is a possibility that current Nellore MP Adala Prabhakar Reddy will contest from YCP. Although Kotamreddy has a huge following in Nellore Rural, now they have all joined the Adala category. Although Kotam Reddy came out, his followers remained in the ruling party. I don’t know what the situation will be before the elections. Whether Kotam Reddy is supported or not, whoever wins that seat or not, after the election the second tier leaders will come and join the ruling party. That means then if YCP retains power, they will stay there, or if TDP comes to power, they will come towards Kotam Reddy. So it is difficult to have high hopes for the second tier.
