Executive Capital Offices Shifting: Andhra Pradesh Government has taken a key decision. The offices will be shifted to Vizag only after the decision of the High Court. Visakhapatnam has been decided as the executive capital by the Sarkar and the offices have been prepared. It also told which offices are located where. Farmers of Amaravati approached the court against the shift of the capital. A three-member bench investigated this. The AP government told the court that the offices will not be moved until the three-judge bench passes appropriate orders on the move to the capital.
Offices at Rishikonda Millennium Towers
Chief Secretary Jawahar Reddy also issued orders last month based on the report given by the officials’ committee on the use of buildings. The Andhra Pradesh government has located the camp offices of ministers and officials at Rishikonda Millennium Towers. AP government has issued orders allocating buildings for setting up offices of 35 government departments. A total of 2 lakh 27 thousand square feet of government building sites have been identified. Chief Minister Jagan and Ministers during the review in Visakhapatnam, all of them mentioned in the orders that they should use A and B buildings in Millennium Towers. Own buildings belonging to various departments have been assigned to the ministers, high officials and secretaries of the respective departments. Everything has been prepared to use the Millennium Towers for departments and officers’ offices that do not have their own buildings. Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy announced that Visakhapatnam will soon become the capital of AP. He revealed in the preparatory conference of the Global Investors Summit that he is also moving there. Investors are invited to come to Visakhapatnam.
Chief Minister’s Office in Kalinga Block
There are 3 check posts around Rushikonda. Police are patrolling 24 hours a day. A helipad was built for heli tourism during the previous government. There is a campaign that the helipad on the beach will be used so that the Chief Minister can reach Rushikonda directly from the airport by helicopter. Construction on 13,542 square meters in 4 blocks on Rushikonda has reached final stage. Officials have made arrangements to have an office along with Chief Minister Jagan’s residence. Kalinga Block was beautified for the Chief Minister’s office. Although the Kalinga block was planned to be built on 5,753 square meters, it was later increased to 7,266 square meters. Chief Minister Jagan has prepared a Vijayanagara block to stay with his family. The beauty of the sea can be seen from this building. Initially, this block was proposed to be built on 5,828 square meters. Later it was reduced to 3,764 square meters. Presidential suite rooms have been prepared in this. Vengi block with 1,821 sq.m., Gajapati block with 690 sq.m.
