Jagananna Civil Services Prothsahakam 2023: It is known that a new scheme called ‘Jagananna Civil Services Incentive’ has been launched in AP to provide financial security to the economically backward sections preparing for the Civil Services Examinations. The application deadline for this will end on December 19. Candidates who have not yet applied should complete the registration process immediately.
The government has identified that around 40 people from AP are selected for the civil services examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year in the country. But to increase this number further, the government has launched this scheme to encourage more people. Candidates have to apply online through social welfare department portal with all necessary certificates.
Through this scheme, candidates from socially, educationally and financially weak and backward sections will get financial assurance from the government. Cash incentives will be given to those who qualify in Civil Services Prelims and Mains. Financial assistance of Rs.1 lakh for the candidates who qualified in the preliminary examination and Rs.50 thousand for those who qualified in the mains. will provide The money will be deposited directly into the candidates’ accounts through DBT method.
How many times help..
Under this scheme, candidates can get incentives from the government for as many times as UPSC allows. The government has ordered the welfare departments of BC, SC, ST and disabled persons to take measures to get maximum benefit from this incentive. This assistance provided by the government is used to meet the needs of candidates for coaching, study material, interview guidance, preparation and other expenses.
Who is eligible for the scheme?
♦ Only those belonging to socially, educationally, economically weaker and backward sections are eligible to apply.
♦ Should be a native of Andhra Pradesh.
♦ Must have qualified UPSC Civil Services Preliminary and Mains Exam. Proof documents should be submitted for this.
♦ Annual family income of the applying candidates should not exceed Rs.8 lakhs per annum. Apart from this, proof such as family income self-certificate, salary certificate of household employee, latest tax must be provided. The annual income of the family is verified by the Tahsildar.
♦ A family can have either 10 acres of Magani or 25 acres of Metta land, or a total of 25 acres of Magani and Metta land.
