Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections 2024: Politics in Andhra Pradesh has gained speed towards elections. The change of YSRCP candidates focused on the appeasement of others. Now TDP and Jana Sena have also focused on their candidates. On Sunday evening, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan and TDP chief Chandrababu met and discussed key issues. It seems that the topic of tickets was mainly discussed in this meeting.
TDP and Jana Sena announced the alliance when Chandrababu was in jail and since then efforts have been made for party coordination. The key leaders of both parties have already met constituencies wise. They planned to work together at the field level. Efforts have been made to remove the misconceptions between the two communities.
The issue of tickets has not been discussed so far. The leaders of both the parties feel that the tendency of delaying the issue will not work anymore as the elections are still three months away.
It seems that a key meeting was held between the leaders on Sunday as part of the issue of tickets. On this occasion, the TDP leader brought up a key proposal. According to reliable sources, Janasena will be given 25 assembly seats and two parliament seats in Andhra Pradesh. He said that he will discuss this in the party and give Pawan Kalyan’s reply.
It is claimed that 25 seats will be given in areas where the Janasena party is strong, most of which will be in East and West. More clarity will come on these positions in future meetings. They will talk about who will contest from where in which district, how many seats for whom, and what precautions should be taken without worrying about rebels.
Pawan competition from where?
It seems that Pawan Kalyan is also interested in contesting from those two districts. Earlier he contested from Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram. They lost in both places. But now they are planning to contest in a position where the party is strong to ensure victory. It is claimed that two constituencies have also been selected for that.
Party sources say that Pawan is currently in a dilemma to contest from Gajuwaka. Instead, they are preparing to contest from one seat in Pithapuram and Bhimavaram. It is said that they have already given information about this to the party circles.
There is no official information from either party. Janasena leader Nadendla Manohar said after the meeting that the meeting was held to take the issue of party alliances further. “The meeting between the leaders of the two parties was very satisfactory. Discussions on many issues were cordial. It has been decided to move forward with a plan on how to move forward together in the coming elections and take the joint manifesto strongly to the people as a common goal of the YCP freed Andhra Pradesh. How should the workers and leaders of the two parties move forward in coordination in the next election..? For that we have taken a collective action on a special strategy. We discussed about the future political activity and election action plan. The leaders of both the parties fully discussed the strategies to be followed in the elections. Apart from confronting the YCP directly, there was a thorough discussion on all matters necessary to achieve a YCP free state. Later, we will talk about other key issues discussed in the meeting between the leaders,” he said.
