Mid Manair Dam Issue: BJP MP Bandi Sanjay praised Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He wrote a letter saying that the issue of Mid Maneru flood victims should be mentioned in the Assembly. In the letter, Sanjay mentioned the problems of the victims of the pending Mid Manair.
He said that Telangana, which was formed on the foundations of sacrifices, should continue to govern in accordance with the aspirations of the people. They asked to pay Rs.5.04 lakh for the construction of houses for each affected family. In the letter, it was mentioned to set up a skill development college along with an industrial corridor from Nilojipalli to Nandigama Agraharam. He demanded action against former CM KCR’s family members, including Rajya Sabha member Santosh, who took the Mid Maneru flood package compensation despite not being eligible. Bandi Sanjay asked CM Revanth to arrange a meeting with the concerned minister, local public representatives and officials.

What is asked in the letter?
The people of 12 villages under the project’s inundation area have sacrificed their houses and lands, thinking that lakhs of acres of cultivation water will meet their drinking water requirements. According to official figures of the government, there are 12 thousand 500 victims. They have been granted houses under IAY as per GIV No. 69 undertaken by the government in 2005-06 under the relief rehabilitation package. Flood compensation will be paid. There was a serious delay in their implementation. On June 15, 2018, Chief Minister KCR came to this area and announced that double bedroom houses will be constructed for the victims of Midmaneru instead of IAY houses, and each part of it will be given to the affected family at Rs. He promised to pay 5 lakh 4 thousand.
In the background of the loss of all the cultivable land by the farmers of 12 villages, they promised to set up an industrial corridor from Nilojipalli to Nandigama and Agraharam and a skill development college. It has been announced that they will increase their skills and provide self-employment. Similarly, according to the new gazette of 2009, full compensation and degree will be given to young men and women who have completed 18 years of age by 01-01-2015. Not a single step forward today. Two years ago, you and I attended the all-party ‘Mahadharna’ held at Kodurupaka for the victims of the Mid Maneru flood and expressed our sympathy to the flood victims.
You promised that you will fight on behalf of the Mid Maneru victims in the dharna until they solve their problems and if the Congress comes to power, they will be solved. At the same time, Rajya Sabha member Mr. Santosh Rao, his family members and former chief minister KCR’s relatives have also been paid compensation under the package, even though they are not eligible for flood compensation, and he announced that action will be taken against them after coming to power. It is heartening to announce that recently you will give justice to the flood victims in the Assembly as well. On this occasion, as a member of the Parliament here, while congratulating you from the bottom of my heart, I am once again putting this matter before you,” wrote Bandi Sanjay in a letter to CM Revanth Reddy.
