TSRTC has made an important announcement about free travel in buses for women. It has made it clear that women can travel free in RTC buses only if they have an ID card, otherwise they will have to pay the fare. Zero ticket will be issued only if ID card is shown. Otherwise, you have to pay for the ticket. If you don’t take it, Rs. 500 fine was warned.
The Congress government that came to power in the state has implemented the ‘Mahalakshmi’ scheme very ambitiously. Through this scheme, the Congress government has provided the women of the state with the facility to travel anywhere in Telangana in the Palle Veluk, Express, City Ordinary and Metro Express buses for free. This scheme was launched by CM Revanth Reddy on December 9. It provided the facility of free travel without any card for the first week. After that TSRTC issued zero tickets to women from Friday. ID card is mandatory. If the card is not shown from Saturday, action will be taken, she said. RTC MD Sajjanar asked the conductor to show any of the identity cards like Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving License, PAN Card for locality verification. It is mentioned that the conductor will issue zero ticket only if the card is shown.
