Congress leaders from Warangal are eager to get similar posts of Corporation Chairman. The leaders who did not get ticket in the previous elections, the leaders who played a key role in the victory of the contested candidates and the senior Congress leaders say that there is only one chance. Leaders who have been serving the party for many years are now running for more posts as their party has come to power.
In the BRS Sarkar, most of the people from Warangal have got the posts of various corporation chairman. KU student leader Vasudeva Reddy held the responsibilities as the state chairman of the disabled. Dr. Tadikonda Rajaiah as the Chairman of Rashtriya Rythu Bandhu Samiti, Bollam Sampath Kumar as the Chairman of the Handicraft Development Corporation, Telangana Water Resources Development Corporation Chairman V. Prakash Rao, Nagurla Venkateshwarlu as Chairman of State Farmers Debt Relief Corporation, Mettu Srinivas as Chairman of State Roads Development Corporation, Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy as Chairman of RTC, Raoula Sridhar Reddy as Chairman of Telangana State Education – Welfare and Infrastructure Development Corporation.
The posts of all these have been canceled by the state government.. Apart from the posts with cabinet status, there are also chairman, district level corporations, market committees, temple committees… and many more. Many Congress leaders are now vying for the posts of corporation chairman along with the state cabinet post.
Those who worked for the party intensified the hunt. Among them, OC, BC, SC, ST have intensified their efforts with mobilization.. Among them former MLA Vem Narender Reddy, Mayor Errabelli Swarna are in the MLC race. Government has already focused on nominated posts. BRS removed 54 corporation chairmen appointed by the government. With this, the aspirants intensified their efforts.
