Hyderabad Water Supply: Big Alert for Hyderabadis.. Water Board has given key instructions to the city residents regarding water supply. On Wednesday (December 13), it was revealed that there will be disruption in drinking water supply in many parts of the city. To this extent, the Water Board made a key announcement on Monday (December 11). If we go into the details.. In Krishna Drinking Water Supply Scheme Phase-3, which supplies drinking water to the city of Hyderabad, there was a huge leakage in the 2375 mm dia MS pumping main header pipe line at Kodandapur pumping station. Repair work is being done to stop this leakage. This repair work will be done from 5 am on Wednesday till 5 am on the next day i.e. Thursday (December 14). In this background, water board officials have announced that there will be disruption in water supply for about 24 hours in the areas under the reservoirs.
These are the areas where water supply is disrupted.
1. O&M Division – 1 : Shastripuram
2. O&M Division – 2 : Bandlaguda
3. O&M Division – 3 : Bhojagutta, Sheikh Pate
4. O&M Division – 4 : Allabanda
5. O&M Division – 6 : Jubilee Hills, Film Nagar, Prashasan Nagar, Tattikhana
6. O&M Division – 7 : Lalapet Sub Areas
7. O&M Division – 10 : Saheb Nagar, Auto Nagar, Sarur Nagar, Vasavi Reservoir
8. O&M Division – 13 : Sainik Puri, Moulali
9. O&M Division – 14 : Snehapuri, Kailasagiri, Devendra Nagar
10. O&M Division – 15 : Gachibowli, Madapur, Ayyappa Society, Kavuri Hills
11. O&M Division – 16 : Madhuban, Durganagar, Budvel, Sulema Nagar, Golden Heights, 9 no.
12. O&M Division – 18 : Kismatpur, Gandham Guda
13. O&M Division – 19 : Boduppal, Mallikarjuna Nagar, Manik Chand, Chengicherla, Bharat Nagar, Peerjadiguda
14. O&M Division – 20 : Dharamsai
Therefore, the water board has requested the people of the above mentioned areas to use water sparingly. It has been suggested that drinking water supply will be done after the repair work is completed. The water board officials have asked the city residents to cooperate with them in this matter.
