It has already been a week since the government was formed in Telangana. Ministers who have taken oath are also accepting their respective responsibilities. But now there is fierce competition for the remaining ministerial posts. Apart from the sworn-in ministers, six more seats are vacant. Competition is now going on for these six positions.
In this background, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is going to Delhi to discuss with the leadership regarding the filling of the remaining positions. The CM’s Delhi tour was confirmed on Wednesday. It is against this background that there is increasing interest in the rest of the ministerial posts. If we look at who is competing in relation to the remaining six ministers, only four of the 14 constituencies in Ranga Reddy won. Vikarabad MLA Gaddam Prasad is contested by Speaker Mal Reddy, Rangareddy and Parigi MLA Rammohan Reddy, but it seems likely that only one Reddy will get a chance.
And in Adilabad, if there are ten seats, the Congress flag has flown in four seats. It seems that three names are under consideration for the post of minister. Among them are Chennuru MLA Gaddam Vivek, Bellampally Gaddam Prasad and Manchyryala Kokkirala Prem Sagar. Joint Nizambad Bodhan MLA Sudarshan Reddy and Ellareddy MLA Madan Mohan Rao are hoping for ministerial post. And Anjan Kumar Yadav, Feroze Khan, Madhuyashki and Mynampally are confident that they will get a seat.
Since BCs have been given a chance for two. Anjan Kumar is expected to get a place in Mudiraj’s quota. Also, it seems that Maktal MLA Srihari, Birla Ilaiah and Shadnagar MLA Vepana Shankar are trying in BC quota. All in all, the aspirants hope that there will be a clarity regarding the ministerial positions of Revanth Reddy who will go to Delhi on Wednesday.
