Usually, if there is a burglar in the house, we tell the police.. but if the robbers are in the police’s house, who do they tell? The same situation took place in Palakonda of Parvathipuram Manyam district. Thieves were on the rampage in Palakonda on Friday night. A series of thefts were committed in the same day and night. Disha SI and a constable were among the victims of burglaries in three houses. If it is one thing that the thefts are happening in the police houses, it is another thing that these thefts are happening not far from the DSP’s office.
Disha police station SI Lavanya, who resides near the Palakonda DSP office, went to the district headquarters on Friday. They stayed at Parvathipuram for the night. Her mother Roopa also went to the village on the same day. On noticing it, the thieves broke the locks the same night and broke into the house and committed theft. The next day, neighbors noticed the door of the house open and informed the SI, who found out that it had been stolen. He said that Rs.30,000 in cash and gold were stolen from the house.
Thieves broke into a constable’s house near Disha SI’s residence. They looked for valuables like cash and gold in the house but found nothing and turned back. Thieves ransacked the residence of Panchayat Raj department employee Gara Kantarao in Srinivasa Nagar, next to that house, on the same night. When Kantha Rao’s family went to Kashi, they noticed that there was no one in the house and the thieves entered the house through the back passage and committed theft. In their house Rs. 1 lakh 60 thousand in cash and 3.5 Tulam of gold were stolen.
When Disha SI’s house is not safe, what is the situation of the common people? These thefts have become a challenge to the izzat of the police. Now the police have caught the thieves and started work. Sivaprasad along with his staff examined. Clues team also reached the place of incident and collected evidence.
