Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy took charge as Telangana State Roads and Buildings Minister at the Telangana Secretariat on Sunday (December 10). On this occasion, the minister signed 9 files today. There are also files related to the four-laning of Nalgonda to Dharmapuram and Mushampalli road and the extension of Kodangal and Dudyala road. He said that he will meet Nitin Gadkari on Monday about permission for 5 files out of these 9 files that he has signed. However, Komati Reddy criticized the BRS government for not paying attention to the issue of roads in the last ten years. Minister Komati Reddy has revealed that they will take measures to widen the roads in the next two to three years. He said that his government will implement the 6 guarantees given during the election as soon as possible.
He said that former minister and BRS leader Harish Rao is talking about what was done within two days of the formation of the Congress government. He asked what they had done for ten years. They said that they will not deliberately take action against anyone, and if there are any mistakes, they will take action. After almost ten years, the Congress party has returned to power in Telangana. He said that he will work for the improvement of roads in the state as the Minister of Roads and Buildings.
He said that he will resign from the post of Bhuvanagiri MP on Monday. He said that he will ask Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to give national status to 14 roads in the state. He said that he would request Nitin Gadkari to recognize the Regional Ring Road (RRR) South as a national highway. He also said that he will ask to increase Vijayawada-Hyderabad road to 6 lanes, Hyderabad-Kalvakurti road to 4 lanes and Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF). He said that some work has been completed on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada road up to Malkapur. The rest will be completed in the next 6 months. He said that the Hyderabad-Vijayawada road will be given top priority and expanded to reach Vijayawada in two and a half hours.
Formation of new council soon
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had ordered the construction of the new council building. He said that the construction of the new council building will be taken up soon. He said that the state government has decided to set up the old building in the premises. CLP offices will also be demolished and new buildings will be constructed.
