A dialogue war between our major parties before the elections. Accusations, criticisms and assurances are pouring in around electricity. Now if the scene is cut… the Congress government has got a suspicion that something is happening in the power sector. To further strengthen those suspicions, two senior officials of the Electricity Department have resigned. Less than three days ago, TSGENCO and Transco CMD Prabhakar Rao resigned. On Thursday TS NPDCL CMD Annamaneni Gopala Rao also submitted his resignation to the Principal Secretary, Energy Department.
Now the resignation of both the senior officers is leading to a big debate. Politically, it opened a big war. At present, it seems that the Congress government has started trying to point out all the mistakes of the previous government in Taluk from the very first day. The first review is the electricity department. Is there a power crisis in the state to the extent that the chief minister is actually doubting whether he is trying to portray himself as a failure CM?
BRS and Congress parties engaged in a war of words before the election on the issue of 24-hour current in Telangana. BRS has been campaigning that there will be a dark kingdom if the Congress comes to power and there will be power cuts from the moment that party comes to power. This has become the main election weapon between the two parties. When the election process was over and Congress got power, the first cabinet meeting held by CM Revanth Reddy was discussed on the issue of electricity. On this occasion, CM Revanth Reddy got serious with the officials saying that they had hidden the current situation in the electricity department.
As soon as the Congress came to power, the CM suspected that there was a conspiracy to bring about a power crisis in the state. While the officials explained to the CM that there are debts of 85 thousand crores in the electricity department so far, for a complete explanation on this, the officers were ordered to attend with complete details related to the department since 2014. In this regard, after the Praja Darbar organized at Phule Praja Bhavan on Friday, the CM thought to have a special review with the top officials of the Electricity Department, but it was not possible. As CMD Prabhakar Rao of Trans Co and Gen Co has already resigned, CM Revanth Reddy ordered the officials not to accept his resignation. Perhaps the excitement of what will happen in that review is now all over Telangana.
