Three tribesmen were lost in its current while crossing the stream. They have been identified as Gemmeli Kumar (25), Miriyala Kamala (40) and Gemmela Lakshmi (50) of Sitapadu village. The incident took place while crossing Gedda on the way back from Kasipatnam Santa. Officials have started search operations. Even though it was late, they were nowhere to be found. NDRF teams are likely to be deployed. PO Abhishek himself is supervising the search operations. Among the three missing, Kumar’s body was found at Kashipatnam. Anantgiri Tehsildar Rambai revealed to TV9 that the search for the other two is ongoing.

On the other hand, three herdsmen were trapped in the flood in Iradapalli Matsya Gedda of Paderu mandal. They were brought out safely by volunteer Nageswara Rao who acted very cleverly. Everyone gasped.
No entry for vehicles on ghat road..
Due to the rains in Alluri district, floods are continuing in the brooks and valleys. The ghat roads have become dangerous due to the erosion of the hill action. Stones and mud come to the roads. Roads are blocked. District Collector Sumit Kumar announced a holiday for schools today as well. Vehicles have been stopped on the ghat roads since last night. In case of emergency, it is allowed in a limited manner. As a result, heavy vehicles stopped at the Chilakala Gadda check post below the Araku Ghat road. RTC officials stopped the buses cautiously earlier. Paderu depot limited RTC buses. RTC DM Srinivasa Rao told TV9 that they will run the buses only after getting clearance from the authorities.
