With the arrest of Siva Balakrishna in the case of assets beyond income, trains are running in the hearts of revenue employees. The small fish are suffocating when the big fish gets caught in the net. They are dying in fear of where their names will come from. For a few days, if the name of bribe is mentioned in the HMDA office, the officials are furious. If there is any work, they are passing it by saying that we will see after the whole matter is settled
Shocked by ACB attacks
Whatever work is done in the HMDA office…any file needs to be moved forward. This is the experience of everyone who has visited that office at least once. I don’t know whether equal pay is given for equal work here but… in corruption money, the distribution of shares is equal. From Funen to the director, those who have to pay have to be surrounded. Otherwise your file will stop there. As ACB officials find HMDA director Siva Balakrishna, the lower level staff are trembling. Because for a file to move in the HMDA office, it is not enough for the director to sign it. Surely there should be a role for lower level staff. According to the official calculations, the value of Shiv Balakrishna’s illegal assets has crossed Rs.250 crores….Now the ACB officials are focusing on the role of the lower level staff. Those who are close to him in the office, benami are spending their days in fear of attacks. They are worried when they will get a call from ACB officials. They are expressing their concern that the stains of corruption will be attached to them for following the orders of their superiors. They are living in fear of when they will get a call from ACB.
Searches at HMDA office
The ACB officers who took Sivabalakrishna into custody conducted searches at the HMDA office in Swarnajayanti Complex in Amir Peta based on the information given by him. Important documents were taken xeroxed and some were uploaded online. After examining all the documents….it was found that many employees in the planning department of HMDA had worked as per his instructions. So far, the authorities have examined the documents of permissions given to huge multi-storied buildings and gated community layouts. Crores of rupees were found to have changed hands through such files. ACB officials found that although APOs (APOs) and JPOs (JPOs) should have inspected and prepared a report at the field level, Balakrishna, who is the director, had given the reports as stated. In this background, it is known that some officers who worked under the director of HMDA are also likely to be investigated by the ACB officials. Till the completion of Shiva Balakrishna’s investigation, some officials of HMDA planning department have to spend without a wink.
