According to a report by Economic Times, the unlimited 5G service is going to end soon. According to this report, Jio and Airtel companies can offer different 5G connectivity plans. The cost of 5G plans will be five to 10 percent higher than the currently available 4G plans.
World’s fastest 5G service available in India It has reached more than 100 million i.e. more than 10 crore users in just one year. However, both Jio and Airtel are yet to charge their customers for 5G service. Both these companies have offered the facility of unlimited 5G plans to the users for free in addition to their most popular 4G plans. It is still going on.
What are the prices of 5G prepaid plans?
According to a report by the Economic Times, Jio and Airtel may launch their 5G plans in the second half of 2024. That means it can start anytime between July and December 2024, according to an expert in the telecom industry.
Consumers may have to spend 10 percent more to buy 5G plans. 5G plans will offer 30% more internet data compared to 4G plans. Currently, there are 4G plans that offer data ranging from 1.5 GB to 3 GB per day. But in 5G plans, data plan can be given from 2 GB to 4 GB per day.
Apart from this, the Economic Times report also said that with the launch of 5G plans in 2024, companies are also going to increase the rates of 4G plans.
