Cheating Case on Book My Show in Sun burn Event Controversy: A case has been registered against the organizers of Book My Show in connection with the New Year celebrations organized in the city under the name of ‘Sunburn’. CM Revanth Reddy expressed his anger over the sale of tickets online for this program which was not given permission. As a result, the high officials of the police called the organizers of the event and representatives of Book My Show and reprimanded them. He warned that rules must be followed and strict action will be taken if the limit is crossed. It has been clarified that police permission is mandatory for New Year events.
‘Sunburn’ is not allowed
Cyberabad CP Avinash Mahanthi clarified that an application was made for ‘sun burn’ event during the New Year celebrations, but permission was not given. Organizers said that they are ready to hold the event near Hitech City in Madhapur. However, it was revealed that this is not a celebration like sunburn in other cities, hence the permission was denied. On the other hand, selling tickets online despite not having permission for the event has become a topic of discussion. CM Revanth Reddy expressed his anger on this in the Collectors and SP meeting held on Sunday. It seems that they have questioned who allowed the sunburn event and how the online bookings were started. Responding in this order, the police officials gave a strong warning to the organizers of the event and representatives of Book My Show. A case of cheating has been registered against Book My Show and ‘Sunburn’ event organizers for selling tickets online without permission.

‘Sunburn’ is a massive musical celebration. This event is held all over the country during the New Year. Alcohol is permitted at this event. In the past, sunburn events were held in places like Gachibowli and Madhapur. There were allegations of drugs being used in these programs. With the recent orders of the CM, the police have focused more on these. They warn that strict action will be taken if New Year events are held without permission. He made it clear that the rules have to be followed.
Warnings to pubs
Madapur Additional DCP Nandyala Narasimha Reddy said that rules and regulations have already been issued for those who want to organize New Year celebrations. He clarified that it is the responsibility of the organizers to ensure that drugs do not enter the pubs where the events are held. They said that those coming to the event should be allowed inside only after checking their bags including their ID card. They said that there should be CCTV cameras and parking spaces and not to issue a large number of passes. He warned that strict action will be taken if the rules are not followed.
