CM Revanth Reddy Announces Gulf Special Board: CM Revanth Reddy said that a special activity has been undertaken to help the Gulf workers. He said that steps will be taken to ensure the legitimacy of the Gulf agents.. Telangana has decided to set up the Gulf and Overseas Workers Welfare Board. He met the leaders of the Gulf trade unions on Tuesday at the Taj Deccan in Hyderabad. On this occasion, they brought many problems to the attention of CM Revanth. He said that 15 lakh families in the state are dependent on Gulf employment.. He said that special measures will be taken for the protection of workers. TPCC working president, MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud, Nizamabad MP candidate Jeevan Reddy, MLA Adi Srinivas, Gulf NRI trade union leaders attended the event.
‘Financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh’
A special office will be set up in Praja Bhavan to help the Gulf workers. We will adopt a special system led by senior IAS. The wages and welfare of those who went for employment should also be taken care of. Good policies are in place in Philippines and Kerala for overseas workers. We are studying the policies adopted by some countries and other states. A comprehensive policy will be formulated after a thorough study. We provide insurance to Gulf workers on the same lines as Rythu Bima. We will provide accident insurance of Gulf workers Rs.5 lakhs. We will release the policy document in June and July. CM Revanth Reddy said.
CM’s interesting comments
In this order, CM Revanth made interesting comments. “I became MP in 2019 because I lost in 2018. After that I became the CM of Telangana state in 2023. Also, since MLC Jeevan Reddy also lost as an MLA, he said that he will become the Union Minister in 2024. He said that if he lost as an MLA, some people would be saddened, and his enemies would be happy.
