Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd – New Delhi: Central investigation agency CBI has registered a case against Hyderabad-based Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd (MEIL). The CBI has registered a case against 8 officials of the Ministry of Steel and NNDC Iron Steel Plant along with Megha Engineering Company and started investigation. In NISP project Rs. CBI has registered a case of corruption of 315 crores and has taken action.
The CBI has registered a case against Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd, along with eight officers from NMDC Iron and Steel Plant, Ministry of Steel, regarding alleged corruption in the execution of a Rs 315 crores project for NISP.

Megha Engineering has been awarded the Operation & Maintenance contract of NMDC’s Iron and Steel Plant Limited (NISP Ltd) for 5 years. In addition to this, Megha has been assigned the works of Nisp Project Intake Well and Pump House and Cross Country Pipeline. But there are allegations that the Megha company has bequeathed a large amount of money to get this project. CBI has registered a case u/s 120B IPC r/w IPC 465, Section 7 8 &9.
Megha Engineering is second in Electoral Bonds
It is known that the Supreme Court has recently ordered the largest public sector bank, State Bank of India, to disclose the details of donations made to political parties. Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) figures prominently in the list of these donations. After the gaming company, Megha became the second company to buy electoral bonds worth Rs 966 crore. Recently, CBI registered a case against this company with allegations of corruption and cheating of Rs.315 crores.
