Bharatiya Janata Party says 370 as target.. Why not South. The saffron party, which is ruling the entire north with a single umbrella, is not getting stuck in south India. BJP is strategically moving ahead to check the opposition’s criticism that it is a party of the North and has no strength in the South. That is why, this time, Operation South was launched with a well-planned plan to strengthen the grip of the South in the Lok Sabha elections. BJP is moving forward with a firm plan to campaign with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the southern states that are not so strong.
Aiming to win more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP has started activities accordingly. Besides re-joining the old allies in the NDA alliance, it hopes to make inroads in the southern states with their help. BJP is trying to make up for the lack of strength in the rest of the states except one Karnataka in South India and has not tasted success. As a part of that, Prime Minister Modi will be on a 5-day whirlwind tour of five southern states from today to March 19 to reach out to the people. As part of Operation South, Modi will visit the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala and address many public meetings.
BJP is taking steps to target double digit MP seats in Telangana. Prime Minister Modi is coming to Telangana for the second time in ten days. Modi is participating in roadshows and public meetings for two days. In the evening participated in the road show at Malkajgiri. Will attend Nagarkurnool public meeting tomorrow. BJP has planned to take Malkajgiri, which is the largest parliamentary segment in the country. After that, they will participate in a public meeting in Gulbarga, Karnataka. Prime Minister Modi will participate in the NDA public meeting at Chilakaluripet of Ellundi Guntur district. Prime Minister Modi is increasing enthusiasm in the states of South India with a series of visits.
There are a total of 130 Lok Sabha seats in South India. Only 29 seats are in BJP’s account. Most of these locations are in Karnataka. The BJP leaders hope to retain at least 50 seats out of the remaining 101 seats. This time in Karnataka BJP-JDS alliance is planning to win more than half of the total 28 MP seats. 25 MP seats in AP, 17 in Telangana, 39 in Tamil Nadu and 20 MP seats in Kerala are combined and the BJP has made strategies to win majority seats in 91 parliamentary seats. Kamal Nath is planning to win 12 seats this time after winning 4 MP seats in Telangana last parliamentary elections. The NDA alliance is expected to win at least 18 seats in AP. In Tamil Nadu, the Annamalai Padayatra has improved a lot and is planning to win more seats with its allies. In Kerala, BJP is trying hard to win the hearts of the minorities who are 45 percent there. If successful in that regard, it is planned that BJP will get the second and third seats there.
The Kamalam Party’s target is to strengthen itself in the South with Modi’s personal charisma, not just political accusations. As part of this, Modi had rounded up Kerala and Tamil Nadu less than a week ago. Today also participated in the public meeting held in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. Sarath Kumar’s couple met Modi on this same platform. On this occasion, he gave a statement that the country should not be involved in the politics of inheritance. Even if the BJP does not come to power in Tamil Nadu, it is said that Tamil Nadu is still in BJP’s mind.
Prime Minister Modi has put full focus on South as a whole. Instead of completing the tour in one state and going to another state, a plan was made to hold meetings in neighboring states on the same day.
