The adjustment of seats between TDP, Janasena and BJP in AP has come to an end. As part of the alliance, Jana Sena-BJP will contest 31 assembly seats and 8 MP seats. Out of these, Jana Sena will contest 21 assembly and two Lok Sabha seats, while BJP will contest 10 assembly and 6 MP seats. TDP has decided to contest in 144 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha seats. But even though Jana Sena said that it will contest in 24 assembly seats, Jana Sena has sacrificed three of them to BJP. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekawat, Janasena Party chief Pawan Kalyan and BJP national leader Baijayant reached a consensus on the adjustment of seats after discussing for about 8 hours at Chandrababu Chandrababu’s residence in Undavalli. Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan released the joint statement of the three parties.
On the one hand, AP BJP president Purandheswari met Union Minister Shekawat in Vijayawada after the alliance fix. The selection of seats and candidates was discussed for an hour and a half. Purandheswari said Union Minister Shekawat will explain the gist of the discussions to the elders of Delhi. The report of the state party has already been submitted. Purandheswari said that the central leaders will announce the seats.. In two or three days, there will be an announcement of the joint parties.
TDP who won on Vijayawada seat
Along with the seats, the contested positions are also discussed. It is known that TDP said no to BJP asking for Vijayawada MP seat. It is reported that BJP has won Araku, Visakha, Rajahmundry, Narsapuram or Eluru, Rajampet and Hindupuram seats. It is reported that TDP is planning to give only one of Visakha or Rajahmundry in BJP’s proposals. As for Janasena, it seems that Machilipatnam for Balashauri and Kakinada for Pawan are almost confirmed. BJP is considering the names of Narendra Varma along with Kothapalli Geetha, Rajahmundry- Purandheswari, Narsapuram- Raghuramakrishna Raju from Araku. Also.. Tirupati- Ratnaprabha or Niharika, Hindupuram- Satyakumar, Rajampet- Kirankumar Reddy are seen to be in the ring. Now, due to the lack of clarity on Anakapalli and Eluru, discussions are currently underway.
All in all, the three parties have started finalizing the candidates as the polls and seats have been adjusted. The parties will finalize the list within two or three days.
