Union Minister Kishan Reddy said that the NTPC Thermal Power Plant will be dedicated to the nation on March 4 by the hands of the Prime Minister. As part of the trip to Adilabad, Rs. He said that the Prime Minister will inaugurate the 800 MW thermal power plant built by NTPC at a cost of 6,000 crores. It is known that the Prime Minister inaugurated an 800 MW thermal power plant during his visit to Nizamabad last October. With this, thermal power plants with a total capacity of 1,600 MW will be available.
Kishan Reddy said that with this power plant, the domestic, commercial and agricultural electricity needs of the people of Telangana will be met. The opening ceremony will be held on March 4. A total of 1600 megawatts of electricity will be started in this project which is being constructed at a cost of Rs.11 thousand crores. Union Minister Kishan Reddy explained that this will meet the electricity needs of the people of Telangana. The Minister said that not only the electricity problems of the people of Telangana will be solved, but it will also pave the way for quality power supply for farmers and commercial needs.
Under the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project, thermal power plants with a capacity of 1,600 MW (2*800 MW) in the first phase (Phase-I) and thermal power plants with a capacity of 2,400 MW (3*800 MW) in the second phase (Phase-II). In part, NTPC has decided to set up Peddapalli district in Ramagundam. The Union Minister stated that the first phase of 1600 megawatts of electricity will be made available to the people on the initiative of the Prime Minister. In addition, it is known that NTPC has set up the largest floating solar power plant in the country with a capacity of 100 MW in 2022 at Ramagundam.
