PKL 10: The first match of the ongoing Pro Kabaddi (PKL 10) Season 10 took place last night between UP Yodhas vs U Mumba in New Delhi. Despite a poor performance by captain Pardeep Narwal, UP Yodha beat U Mumba 39-23 in this crucial match. Due to the excellent riding performance of Gagan Gowda, Mahipal and Sumit defense, UP Yodha achieved a resounding victory. With this win, Yodha got their fourth win of the season, while it was Mumba’s third consecutive loss.

U Mumba gave a strong performance early in the match. But, the Warriors team immediately gave Mumba an all out by playing a do or die raid. After that he was trailing. At halftime, UP Yodha led by 7 points with a score of 18-11. While Sumit scored the highest 5 runs in the defense, Gagan Gowda and Mahipal magic was seen in the riding department.
UP Yodha continued to dominate UP Mumba in the second half as well. No player could perform for Umumba. Only Shivam got 5 points in riding while Mahendra Singh got 3 points in defence. In the end UP Yodhas won 39-23.

Early in the match, Pardeep Narwal created history for UP Yodhas. He became the first captain to lead UP in 100 matches. However, his performance in this match was not good and he could not get a single point. He had to be substituted in the middle of the match.
UP Yodha’s next match will be against Tamil Thalaivas on February 8 at the same stadium in Delhi, while Umumba will take on Bengaluru Bulls on February 4.
