The route map for Hyderabad Metro Phase-2 expansion has been finalized. Officials have prepared a route map on the orders of CM Revanth Reddy. Officials have prepared proposals to construct a new metro line for a total length of 70 kilometers. The details were given to the CM. As part of the expansion, the metro line will be extended from JBS to Chandrayanagutta Crossroad via MGBS. Construction will be undertaken in four more new corridors.
Under Corridor 2.. Plans have been prepared for the expansion of 5.5 km from MGBS Metro Station to Falaknuma. Also.. a route map has been prepared for 1.5 kilometers from Falaknuma to Chandrayanagutta cross road. Under Corridor 4.. from Nagole to Shamshabad Airport.. 29 kilometers proposals have been prepared. Metro will run from Nagole-LBnagar-Chandrayanagutta-Mylardevpally to Airport. On the other hand, another route map has been prepared for 4 kilometers from Mailardevpally to the High Court.
And under Corridor 5.. from Rayadurgam to the American Consulate, plans have been prepared. Metro will be extended for 8 km from Rayadurgam- Nanakramguda- Wipro Junction to Financial District. Another route map has been prepared for 14 kilometers from Miyapur to Patancheru under Corridor 6. Metro will reach Patancheru via Miyapur-Patancheru-BHEL. Another proposal has been prepared under Corridor 7.. from LB Nagar to Vanasthalipuram and Hayat Nagar.. 8 km. All this remains to be approved by CM Revanth. After the approval of the Chief Minister.. there are possibilities of starting the work immediately.
