Dharani Committee: The committee headed by Kodanda Reddy said that they will give an interim report on Dharani issues as soon as possible. The committee which met in CCLA for the third time discussed many issues. The committee has decided to give an interim report to provide relief to the victims as there are many errors in the Dharani Portal since its inception.
Committee members Kodanda Reddy revealed that many farmers lost their land rights due to the defective website of Dharani. He said that there is no transparency in this portal and transactions were done without the knowledge of the land owner. It was clarified that due to many mistakes, rice donors could not get Rythu Bandhu and other government subsidies. He said that the committee has decided to give an interim report to provide quick relief to the Dharani victims. He said that we cannot move forward without further in-depth study. It has been revealed that a comprehensive report has to be prepared after discussing the issues of the portal with all the departments related to it.
The Dharani Committee said that there is a need for computerization of land records to reflect the reality. She said that one problem in Dharani is not consistent with another problem, there are many errors from the beginning of Dharani and the right to land has been lost due to Dharani. The committee said that they will meet with the district collectors as well as the agriculture and registration departments in the coming days. It has been revealed that they will go to the public along with officials and public representatives and submit a report to the government only after a comprehensive study. The committee decided to conduct a more in-depth study, stating that the lack of transparency was a major problem as things were going well immediately after Dharani’s arrival.
The committee said that the lands should be computerized which should reflect the reality and many cases against Dharani are pending in the High Court. It has been revealed that they will participate in a video conference with the collectors who are knowledgeable about the Dharani subject and have come to their notice that land transactions have taken place without the knowledge of the land owner. He said that whatever the name of the portal, if the claimant’s name is online, then he has the right in terms of law, and there is a need to bring laws for Dharani. The committee hopes to complete these in two or three phases. The committee said that the Dharani portal has been carefully discussed so that no problems arise in the future.
On the other hand, Dharani also has a right to privacy option to hide the details of the land. By clicking on the corresponding button, the details of the respective lands are not usually visible in the portal. Only the persons managing the software, Tehsildar and Revenue Officers are visible. You have to log in and see that too. The government believes that some people have committed illegalities with the help of these types of concessions. Government lands changed hands in neighboring districts of Hyderabad. It seems that based on some order and with the cooperation of the authorities, it was done online in their name. It has already been made clear that an investigation will be conducted into the irregularities in Dharani. The government is seriously considering the onlineization of 89 transactions by a district officer. It is reported that the new government has seriously considered the survey numbers which are believed to be irregular.
