AP CS Jawahar Reddy Review Meeting on Elections: Amaravati: As there are general elections in AP soon, Chief Secretary Dr. KS Jawahar Reddy held a review meeting with the officials on poll management. CS Jawahar Reddy has ordered the officials of the concerned departments to transfer the officers and staff related to election duties (AP Elections 2024) who have completed three years of service in the same region by 25th of this month. He reviewed the facilities to be provided in the polling centers, staff vacancies, transfers and other issues at the state secretariat in Velagapudi on Monday with the officials of the relevant departments including the state chief election officer Mukesh Kumar Meena.
Speaking on this occasion, AP CS Jawahar Reddy advised the officials to conduct the upcoming elections in a transparent manner in accordance with the directives of the Central Election Commission. To facilitate that, it has been clarified that all the officials related to the election duties who complete three years of service in the same region by next June in the districts should be transferred by January 25. CS Jawahar Reddy ordered the officials of Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Education and other departments to immediately take appropriate measures for the provision of ramps and other facilities for the convenience of the voters in the polling centers.
AP CS has many suggestions for officers
APCS has made several suggestions to the officials regarding the facilities to be provided in the polling centers, filling up of staff vacancies, transfers etc. They discussed the control of smuggling of money, liquor and other goods in elections. CS Jawahar Reddy ordered the officials of Special Enforcement Bureau, Excise and other departments to immediately complete the establishment of integrated check posts in connection with strong surveillance in the elections. Furthermore, the CEO and CCLA have been directed to take immediate steps to fill the vacancies in the offices of the State Chief Electoral Officer and District Election Officers (Collector).

State Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena said that officials and staff who have been working in the same area for three years have been identified and need to be transferred. It has been revealed that the process of transfer of officers has already been taken up in some departments. CEO Meena advised the officials of the respective departments that they have identified those who need to be transferred in Revenue, Municipal, Urban Development, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Excise, Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) and Police departments. Excise Department Special CS Rajat Bhargava, Additional DGP Peace and Security S. Bagchi, CDMA Vivek Yadav, SEB Director M. Raviprakash, IG Ravindra Babu, Additional CEO Koteswara Rao, Joint Secretaries Prabhakar Reddy, Nishanthi and others participated in this meeting organized by CS.
